John Shull, our Senior Software Engineer, is a dynamic software engineer with a deep focus on 3D graphics. With a track record of delivering innovative solutions in various roles, John's career has been marked by a commitment to creating intuitive and powerful digital experiences. His journey began as a 3D Software Engineer at E4D Technologies, where he played a pivotal role in developing CAD tools for dentistry. His expertise spanned from rendering and manipulating mesh data to integrating solutions into the Unity game engine, optimizing multi-threading processes, and writing HLSL compute shaders.


During an internship at NASA Ames Research Center, John contributed to the Metropolitan Overflight Noise Analysis (MONA) Project. Here, he worked on predicting and visualizing aircraft noise, collaborating with a team of NASA and Stanford engineers. His responsibilities included processing flight data, visualizing flight paths, and integrating noise propagation models. His next role as a Software Engineer at PAR Government was equally impactful, where he solved complex 3D graphics and performance-critical challenges.


As a Tutor and Teaching Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology, John further honed his problem-solving and technical skills while assisting students with exercises, projects, and debugging. John's wide-ranging skills, including problem-solving, parallel programming, object-oriented design, and optimization techniques, align with our commitment to delivering high-quality, user-centric solutions at Behold. John is passionate about creating visually captivating simulations and games, and his dedication to problem-solving and innovative thinking is instrumental in advancing Behold's mission in the sports collectible industry.
